APX 7000XE and Mission Critical Wireless Earpiece Recognized for High Quality in Product Design

Motorola Solutions’s APX 7000XE and Mission Critical Wireless Earpiece have both earned the prestigious “red dot” seal in the 2011 red dot award competition. The international award recognizes high quality in product design. Dating back to 1955, the red dot award is now the world’s largest and most distinguished design competition. This year’s competition included 1,700 companies from 60 countries and more than 4,400 entries.

Winners of the 2011 design competition will be recognized at the red dot awards ceremony, taking place in Essen, Germany on July 4, 2011. From July 5 through August 1, 2011, winning products will be on display in the red dot design museum at the world heritage site of the Zeche Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, also in Essen, Germany. With more than 1,500 products spread over an area of more than 4,000 square meters, the red dot design museum houses the largest permanent exhibition of contemporary design worldwide.
