Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Motorola Solutions, Inc.

Greg Brown, 57, is chairman and chief executive officer of Motorola Solutions where he has led the company for a decade. Under Brown’s leadership, this 90-year old company has been completely transformed. He led the break-up of the company by spinning off the cellular phone business and divesting two other multi-billion dollar divisions. Today the company is the worldwide leader in mission critical communications and public safety. Since the company split on January 1, 2011, annualized total shareholder return has averaged 25% a year.

Brown serves as chair of Skills for Chicagoland’s Future. He also serves on the board of Xerox, the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, the Rutgers University Board of Governors, and The Chicago Club.

Brown has served on the boards of Cisco Systems, RR Donnelley and Micromuse where he was Chairman and CEO. He has also served two American presidents where he was a member of President Obama’s Management Advisory Board and served on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee under President George W. Bush. 
 
Brown earned a bachelor's degree in economics and an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Rutgers University.
