Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Motorola Solutions, Inc.

Greg Brown is chairman and chief executive officer of Motorola Solutions where he has led the company for over eleven years. He is the longest serving CEO of the company, after the founder Paul Galvin and his son Bob. Under Brown’s leadership, this 90-year old company has been completely transformed and total shareholder return has exceeded 300%. Today the company is the worldwide leader in mission critical communications for public safety and commercial enterprises.  

Brown serves on the boards of Xerox and Rutgers University where he chairs the Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics.

Brown has served on the boards of Cisco Systems and Micromuse where he was Chairman and CEO. He also served as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and was on the board of the Business Roundtable. Brown has served two American presidents where he was a member of President Obama’s Management Advisory Board and served on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee under President George W. Bush.  

Brown earned a bachelor's degree in economics and an honorary doctorate in humane letters from Rutgers University.
